Eido operates across three complementary business activities – property development, consultancy and investment. With over fifty years’ combined experience of work with government departments, local authorities, academic institutions, health and voluntary sectors, we believe we are well placed to bring a broader and more balanced perspective to property development.
The company will work through any number of development permutations, including outright purchase, equity stake-holdings, joint ventures and various forms of partnerships and social compacts. We are not intimidated by complexity and are committed to working in areas avoided by most main-stream developers.
Consultancy and research
Eido’s composite consultancy and research background is extensive, covering a raft of social policy issues, such as crime, health, education and economic development, as well as building-specific scoping studies, site assessments, appraisals and architectural solutions.
Continuing uncertainty in the financial markets has led to a loss of trust in conventional investment pathways. Through Eido Development Partners Limited, we periodically provide opportunities for small-scale investors and partners to take part in our on-going development programme.
eido the people behind the company
Eido is run by Michael Rollins and Ian Tod who have collectively over 50 years’ experience of social policy research and developing high profile building projects in the private, public and third sectors. Michael studied and taught philosophy before setting up Leda Group - a social policy research company in 1982. Leda has worked for several government departments, local authorities and voluntary groups on research projects covering crime, education, economic regeneration and health. Ian Tod studied architecture at Cambridge and has completed a raft of projects in urban design, education, health, arts and cultural industries and takes a special interest in historic building reuse. He has lectured and written on architecture and urban design.
